I am a native Chicago Latina artist finally embracing her artistic self.
I have been a public servant for the last 20 years, and counting, assisting victims impacted by violent crime. In such a field one can't help but be affected by the suffering of those we serve. I have come to find my art to be very therapeutic and a much needed practice in self care.
I consider myself an intuitive creator as I apply medium to my canvas and bring out what I see. This means that many of my pieces will look very different from the next. I enjoy working in mixed and unmixed media from oil to acrylic; watercolor to pan pastels, and occasionally throw in some ephemera.
